Background:

Westlands is a co-educational bilateral school, catering for approximately 1350 students aged 11-18. The school was totally rebuilt and reopened in 2002. It has excellent facilities including a modern curriculum, supportive staff and is fully inclusive. The school has a wide range of sports activities including aerobics, athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, dance, girls' football, gymnastics, hockey, netball, soccer, trampolining, volleyball, rugby and table tennis and has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including art, choir, computer club, craft, design, drama, food club, graphics, guitar club, history club, keyboards club. The school works closely with its partner schools and the community to foster the technology college aims of enriching the experience of the wider community by providing opportunities for all. The school is a caring, learning based school where individual achievements are recognised and encouraged.
