Background:

Newton St Cyres Primary School is a community school on the outskirts of Exeter. The school has four class bases, providing fulltime education for one hundred children aged four to eleven. The school is situated, with easy access via the A377, and although it is only minutes from the city it is surrounded by beautiful countryside.The children have good facilities to support their curriculum and a well motivated team of teachers and teaching assistant. The school has a good reputation for expressive arts and take part in many annual events., including a community Harvest Festival, a Christmas musical production, a Nativity and Chiristingle service and a spring concert. The starlight room is a dedicated dance/drama and music studio for individual, small group and class use.The school has active sporting calendar, with children playing football, netball, tag rugby, basketball, cricket, tennis, rounders and athletics during the year. The school also has its own swimming pool which is lovely to use during the hot days in the summer term. At Newton St Cyres Primary School every child matter.
