Background:
The infant and junior schools are independent of each other but work very closely together and share many resources, including all parts of the building except the classrooms. A nursery is attached to the infant school. Founded in 1973, the schools were completely rebuilt following a fire in 1997, and reopened in 1999. The purpose-built accommodation has been designed to incorporate sustainable features such as a 'grey water system' and the ability to generate electricity using photovoltaic cells. It is set in 'extensive' grounds overlooking the beautiful Plym Valley. 'Our schools offer the local community a high standard of education and work in very close partnership with parents'.
