Background:
Axminster All Saints' School is a Church of England aided primary school and is situated one mile from Axminster. The school is adjacent to All Saints parish Church and overlooks small ridge from its position on high ground. It was built in 1856 and has seen many major changes. In 1997 the completion of the first phase of a major extension programme provided a new, ground floor office and reception area. The second phase was completed in March 2000 and provided a new classroom, cloakrooms and a corridor. The final two phases planned over the next few years, will provide two more classrooms, a multipurpose room and a hall/gym and a library. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. The school aims to create a happy and caring atmosphere in which children can feel secure and confident.
