Background:

Musbury County Primary School was opened on 4th February, 1878. It is located at the heart of the rural village of Musbury in the Axe Valley. The school has superb accommodation facilities with an infant classroom which was added in 1956 and further extended in 1994 to provide two teaching areas and Key Stage 1. The school has extensive grounds including a playground, a grassed play area with a climbing frame, built by the parents and financed by the P.T.F.A. The school also has recently established a wildlife garden, with a pond, at the front of the school. A wide range of extra-curricular activites are offered at lunchtime and after-school. The school'strives to be a community in which pupils and staff are equally valued in a fair and caring environment.
