Background:
Colyton County Primary School caters for mixed infants and juniors aged five to 11 years. The original building dates back to 1875 and there have been extensive modernisations since then. The school has seven single-age group classes and has benefited from a large building and refurbishment programme during the years 2000'2002. A new hall and hard games pitch was added. Clubs and special courses are arranged at various times for most children. It is proud of the range of activities it runs. At present these include French, football, netball, cricket/rounders and flute, clarinet, brass, guitar, recorder and keyboard and choir.
