Background:
Tamarside Community College is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 18. As a Specialist Technology College the school has enhanced facilities in mathematics, ICT, science and technology. The two buildings have been constructed at a cost of £2.1 million to replace three old dilapidated Rosla buildings, which housed the mathematics, music and art departments. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These facilities include football, netball, rugby, cricket and hockey. The school aims to provide a caring community and foster a sense of responsibility and citizenship.
