Background:
Okehampton College is a large comprehensive school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18. There is a strong tradition of community education at Okehampton and it continues to offer attractive courses to all age groups. The community department is also involved in organised leisure and sport activities for the students. Information and communication technology has high priority at Okehampton College and its aim is to achieve the best possible standard of provision. It has two choirs, an orchestra, big band and roots band. Several concerts are put on termly, both in the college and the wider community. The college aims to provide an education which allows youngsters to develop academically and socially in a caring environment.
