Background:
Denbury Primary School is a small village school in the heart of the county just three miles from the market town of Newton Abbot. The school was opened in 1875 and is an attractive old Victorian stone building which has been extended and updated. The national curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics, science, religious education and foundation subjects including history, geography, creative and expressive arts, physical education, computers in education. The school has a wide range of clubs and activities including cricket, gymnastics, athletics, swimming, craft club, choir, recorder tuition and chess. The school aims to create an environment that is secure, attractive and accessible to all.
