Background:
The school is set in rural North Devon between Dartmoor to the south and Exmoor to the north. Because of its rural locality, the school plays a major role in providing leisure activities for children, and organises netball, football, computer, Key Stage 1 sports activities, music, golf, visits and residential experiences. The school works with local churches and other organisations to support and organise an ICT club for children and parents learning together. It has a thriving PFA which raises a great deal of money for the school and also provides a wide range of social activities for parents, pupils and members of the community who have no direct link to the school.
